Hey, That's Me!
Hi, I’m Emma, and this is my first project since getting hired at Nightowl Coffee. I wanted to work for Nightowl because I've been on the guest side of their coffee catering experience countless times and absolutely LOVED their team. Well… better yet, my team now. WOOHOO!
For my first assignment, Nightowl founder—and now my boss—Corbin specifically told me NOT to write about how awesome he is (lol)). Instead, he told me to roast him. Apparently, he doesn’t think I’m tough enough. Sir, you hired the wrong girl. I was raised with two older brothers. But first, let me show off a cute pic of me and my boyfriend Trey [insert wink face emoji].

My First Nightowl Assignment: Recreating History
Okay, back to business. If I’m starting my Nightowl career by roasting my boss, I might as well fully commit. First, I was given access to the Company's entire photo gallery and told "have fun!" So, it only made sense to recreate an image from Corbin’s iconic first photoshoots. Because nothing says “Welcome to the team” like respectfully recreating your founder’s most questionable marketing decisions and fashion choices. And speaking of questionable fashion choices…
What in the heck was Corbin thinking?! The flip-flops. The Maui Jims. The weird Irish-leprechaun hippity-hops. I CAN’T. 😂 This might be the best-worst photoshoot to ever exist, and for some weird reason, I’m completely here for it. This must be what it feels like to have really good blackmail on a government official. You’re welcome, Corbin.
Here's what I love though. Nightowl has come so far from this photoshoot and I'm so proud to be joining this team almost 10 years later. From Corbin's small coffee cart idea to a fun team of high-volume mobile baristas, who travel the U.S. to cater events like the Phoenix Open, I think I joined at the perfect time.

Oh, By the Way… I’m a Golfer. ⛳️
Speaking of the Phoenix Open, you should also know I’m basically a professional golfer. Sure, my boyfriend has only taken me golfing once, but y’all… I’m a prodigy.
All jokes aside, I graduated this past December with my Event Management degree from UNT, and I’ve always loved creating great guest experiences. I love events. I love coffee. And I’m pretty sure I found the perfect place to combine the two.
From DFW coffee catering and espresso bars to mobile barista stations and experiential activations, Nightowl is about creating experiences—not just serving coffee. As Hannah Montana once said, it really is the best of both worlds. 🎤☕️
So in short: I can golf, I’m being paid to to make fun of my boss, and apparently I’m now a world-class blog writer. Autographs every Tuesday at 9 a.m. See you soon.
