I can't put into words how grateful I am for our team and every client who’s trusted us over the last eight years. But to be honest, it all means nothing compared to my beautiful wife and my two incredible boys.
Before we were a thriving, nationwide coffee catering company serving some of the largest brands in the world, Nightowl Coffee was just me and a single coffee cart, celebrating small, intimate moments like my son’s very first birthday.
As my son turns six today, I can’t put into words how proud I am of him. I pray every day that he would love the Lord and use every gift he has to pursue God's greatest calling of leadership in his life—whether in business, ministry, sports, or politics.
He tells me all the time he can’t wait to work for Nightowl. And while I want him to dream even bigger, the truth is… I can’t wait either.
☕ The Coffee Cart That Started It All
October 22, 2020—the world was on pause, but Lushra's backyard event space sure wasn’t. While most people were canceling plans, we were firing up the espresso machine, inflating the bounce house, and celebrating Brady's 1st Birthday alongside some of the greatest vendors in the DFW event space—like Lushra, Render, Fount Board & Table, and Social Llama Events.
We themed the party Brady’s 1st Sail, and it quickly became one of our favorite events ever. The décor, the theme, the laughter, the family, and of course—the coffee cart.
Even before Nightowl Coffee became a DFW coffee catering staple, we loved creating connection around caffeine. For Brady’s birthday, we rolled out one of our first custom-built bars, complete with soft nautical branding, rope details, and the “Brady’s 1st Sail” logo branded on an acrylic panel.
We served up a full menu of handcrafted lattes, cappuccinos, and signature drinks like:
- Maple Bourbon Latte
- Vanilla Latte
- Pumpkin Spice (because it was October)
- Chai for the cozy crowd
Neighbors and grandparents gathered around the cart, swapping stories and sipping coffee like it was a Saturday at a seaside café. Don't worry, there was bourbon too.
🎈 Setting Sail in Style
The backyard was transformed into a coastal dreamscape: soft blue and golden balloons cascading across a swing backdrop, a white bounce house for the kids, and a comfy lounge setup that made even the adults want to stay awhile.
The sign read “Brady’s 1st Sail”—a theme we’ll never forget. It wasn’t just décor; it was a memory frozen in time. The joy, the laughter, the chaos—and somehow, through it all, perfect latte art.

Looking back five years later, I realize that this party wasn’t just a celebration of our little boy—it was a reflection of everything we love about coffee catering and events. Whether it’s a corporate activation, a luxury wedding, or a kid’s backyard birthday, a perfectly-poured latte brings people together.
